Hi everyone, and welcome back to That UFO Podcast. My name is Andy, and this is a special breaking news podcast. Wasn't expecting to do an update today. I've been ill for a few days, but I'm now recovering. However, really special news because we've been waiting for the trailer for Steven Spielberg's latest epic. And it has finally dropped online in the last hour. It's a 2026 blockbuster, and we've finally seen some details. We have some direction, and we have a name. Disclosure Day. And I'm quite fond of that. A little bit of an air of Independence Day. A movie I hold very close to my heart. As you will know, if you listen to the podcast. The second one, not so much. You know, less said about the second one, the better. However, a couple of things. I'm going to talk about the trailer. A little bit of a trailer breakdown. And then I also want to touch on the weaponized episode with the congressmen and women. But yeah, so on the trailer, we knew very little, if anything at all, about this movie until today. We should now start getting details dropping. We knew some of the cast fronted by Emily Blunt. But let me walk you through the trailer now. Straight away, folks, it sounds and looks big. And I love that about a movie. I'm a big cinema guy. Again, I'm really into my movies, folks. And I would be the first one to downplay this trailer. To say I'm disappointed. I'm not. This is good. It sounds phenomenal from the get-go. Which is John Williams scoring it. Who is Spielberg's go-to guy. The greatest of all time when it comes to scoring film. It starts off with the tagline. If you found out we weren't alone. If someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? And I love that, setting the tone. This isn't going to be a lovey-dovey, E.T. type film. Or even Close Encounters, happy tone. This is going to be something much more, I don't know if sinister is the word. It's hard to tell. This is a teaser trailer that's two minutes long. It then cuts to Emily Blunt, who is our main character. She seems to be presenting the weather on TV. She mentions Kansas. This begins, or she begins to introduce the weather. But she starts to stutter, as I just have. And it looks and sounds like something that isn't human is taking over her voice. You hear her start to, a series of clicks and pops begin as folks around the world watch on TV and devices. I'll go out on a limb and say folks around the world aren't watching the weather in Kansas. But I reckon this has happened during a live broadcast and has then gone viral around the world. Because we see it on people's phones, on TVs. So yeah, I imagine the clip goes viral pretty quick, as you imagine it would. And I love that. And I think this will be the moment in the movie. Everything is sort of revealed on a big scale. I think we're going to probably get a build. Always remember Independence Day, having that wonderful build from the beginning. As people find out, we get the shadow over the moon, NASA, the White House. People start to get involved. The military meetings happen. And then it builds to that scene where everyone goes, it's a countdown, we have to go. You know, that kind of build up. So yeah, really looking forward to seeing how that comes around. And we see some nuns watching on the TV. We see someone holding a cross on their hand really tightly. And this is the opening, what, 15, 20 seconds. We've got a big scale. We've got non-human voices. We've got religious aspects to this. We then see Josh O'Connor. And his character pops up on screen saying, people have a right to know the truth. It belongs to 7 billion people. Isn't that something that resonates with many of us? And it comes up on screen, big writing, directed by Steven Spielberg. And that kind of stuff's important, folks. Because I know you're listening or watching this and thinking, alien movie, Spielberg, great. But cinema is, as we say in Scotland, on its arse around the world. People are struggling to get folks into movie theatres. But a Steven Spielberg blockbuster has instant appeal to so many folks. And this will hit the mainstream. This will get attention. This will get traction. This will get traction. This will get traction online. A lot of quick cuts, as you'd expect in a teaser trailer. We see Colin Firth's character in some sort of huge media hub. Very futuristic looking. Lots of screens and light. Reminds me a little bit of the bad guys movie. The bad guys movie. The bad guy in James Bond, Tomorrow Never Dies. Elliot Carver. And that big kind of media HQ. So yeah, I love that. We see some other quick shots. Colin Firth's character in some sort of high-tech chair. He's got one of those mouth guards in to stop you shattering your teeth. And he's about to jab himself with something, it looks like. We see a lot of animal symbology throughout. Birds, deer, creepy night-time scenes of a child's nursery. With the little carousel spinning on the ceiling as Emily Blunt walks towards it. Again, there's not a lot of happiness in this trailer. It looks like it's dark. It looks foreboding. Blunt's character asks Josh's character, What are you going to do? And he says, Full disclosure to the whole world, all at once. So again, disclosure. Bang. There's that word that for a lot of folks outside the UFO topic, it doesn't mean anything. It's not a word that will resonate. And it's in the lexicon now. So now we see some humans. Well, I think they're humans. But their eyes change colour. And if you've seen the character posters that dropped online for this in the big billboard in Times Square, we had those different colours around different places. So now we see the eyes change colour. And I wonder if that's a hint at the whole non-human beings or aliens live amongst us and walk amongst us. Famous Bob Bigelow quote. We see the old SWAT team raiding a room. Always have to get that in there in an epic action movie of this scale. We see some more quick camera shots of action scenes. Lots of cars flying across fields. We see Joshua Connor's character standing in a field. I think it's him. It's at a distance. And a crop circle forming around him. There's nothing else in the scene. It looks like daytime. But given these types of trailers, folks, that doesn't mean that in the actual film or a later trailer, we don't see something in the scene, whether it's an orb or a being or a craft or something happening to make the crop circle. But you just see it in this begin to appear around him. We then get that religious aspect brought back to it. It's a nun or a sister saying, why would he, the religious he, make such a vast universe but save it only for us? Again, something else is here. We are not alone. And it finishes on screen. Big writing. Disclosure day. With that eerie alien-speaking sound. The clicks and the pops. Well, we're all assuming that's what it is. Folks, this early trailer looks riddled with lore from ufology. In a good way. Religious elements, the animal symbolism, psionic aspects, a worldwide awakening, asking the question, you know, if we find out we're not alone, would we be afraid? All of this and not a hint of a craft, a being. It's clearly an alien movie. And one that I imagine will piss off Stephen Greer because it's not all love and light and happy aliens coming to visit. But I'll say, as far as excitement goes for me, 10 out of 10. This hits all the right spots for me. Really happy with this one. Chef's kiss. And I look forward to more. And we should, we're six months away, less than six months away from release. It's due the 12th of June. Those dates can always change. It may slightly differ. But I imagine this will get a date, a worldwide release date. Really excited for it. Again, they're really quick and people will find stuff as the days go on. Even by tonight, folks will have spotted things in these trailers. There's a scene where lots of folks are standing in a window and they're holding their camera phones with the lights on and all the lights look like stars. Some wonderful symbolism. Byron said it'll be interesting to see the response from media about this trailer. Yep, getting loads of traction online already. Loads of big accounts. Loads of the media accounts, the movie accounts, retweeting this trailer. Obviously, it's a Spielberg blockbuster. This would have been huge no matter what it was. Steven Spielberg could shit in his hands and clap for 90 minutes and it would make a couple of hundred million dollars. Not that I want to see that, but you know, you get the gist. So for me, yeah, and looking at the comments on YouTube and X and various platforms from random folks who are commenting, people are excited about this. Ricky says, I'm so excited. Good to hear. And Q says, Swedish series from Otherworld podcast coming through strong. Not seen or heard of that, but yeah, interesting. I'll have a little look. Some of the comments from the Discord channel as well. Always a wonderful place where you're going to get a fair share of different thoughts. So what have we got? What have we got? So Tim said, yeah, it's finally Disclosure Day. MC Buchanan, how you doing, mate? He says, this is much more on the nose than I was expecting. Yeah, I would say so for me too. I like that. Tim had replied to that with the Mugatu Zoolander. So hot right now. Great use of memes. And you said psionics. Trevzy told me to fire up the shed. I am in the shed recording, folks. So you're going to get this and the Becky Ferreira interview all today. So please check both of those out. Becky's a science fiction writer, a science writer. So go and check that interview out, folks. Bars Attacks said, do, do, do, do. Not yet on Bars Attacks thoughts. Saucy Puppet said, a little disappointing. I was hoping for something a little more grounded. A thriller with people inside the legacy programme trying to get out would have been just as exciting and more helpful. A shit Bob Lazar movie would have been better. All fair opinion. Zab said, excited to be honest, looking forward to it. If it's on a par with Close Encounters and gets the viewers and lots of attention, it could hold people's interest with the subject, which would be a good thing. Mark said, not sure. I've watched it a few times now and I hope they're keeping a lot of the plot out of any trailer along with any craft and occupants. Hard to tell, Mark, but I think that is the case just from the tone and how these things tend to go. Trevsey said, Trev digs it, speaking like The Rock in third person. It's only going to be a teaser and feels like it's got the potential to be big. Yeah, I got that from it, Trevsey. Though Dubs said, different from what I expected, but I'm excited for it. Great cast, great director and my favourite topic. Bars Attacks says, oh, Bars Attacks was commenting on something else. So Gnosis says, Emily Blunt beatboxing was not the disclosure movie I expected. Wasn't wowed in a close encounters way. CGI animals are a big turn off for starters. Clearly the animals are CGI'd like the deer and stuff like that. But yeah, I get what you mean, but could be early effects. I don't think they look too bad to be honest, but that's fair. Super Nintendo Charmers, always the charmer, says, I think it looks shit. Excellent, excellent critique. We'll flesh that one out a bit more, I'm sure. Matissimo said, I love it. Thought for a second Emily was doing Bashir's noises exactly and then was going to say some words. I've got to make an AI spoof. Black Eyed Dog said, looks good, but also possibly just distracting because it's so on the nose. Oh, disclosure, yeah, great movie. Kind of wish it had a different title, but then again, it does look really interesting, so I definitely see it. So yeah, so for me, lots of great comments on there, folks. It feels like a movie about catastrophic disclosure or an attempt to do so by that mythical whistleblower we all hope exists who just says, screw it, here's everything. But the phenomenon is also involved. Are they trying to help disclosure or prevent it? Either way, I'm in. Awesome stuff. Weaponised had Congressman Burchett, Congressman Burleson, and Congresswoman Luna all on Corbell and Knapp, obviously. And I appreciate as a host how difficult it must have been to have gotten all three of these on at the same time. My thought is do all three of these members of Congress really align in their thinking and what they want to achieve? Sounds like they do from this interview, but I always wonder that in the background with a lot of folks involved in this topic, to be honest. And here are some of the highlights and as always, folks, Andy's disclaimer. Please go and watch the full episode if you haven't already over on the Weaponised channel. Corbell and Knapp, for me, do lots of great work. And if you want to go and check this full one out, it takes about an hour. Well worth watching. Corbell asks Luna if they have received any pushback from agencies. Luna mentions about the dead drop of the video that was shown at the hearing. She says they didn't want them showing it. She says they've been denied access as you'd expect. Knapp asks about the future of hearings and is there any point if the Department of War and CIA are refusing information? Knapp asks about the future of hearings and is there any point if the Department of War and CIA are refusing information? You know, what is the point? Luna says without subpoena authority as a task force to have hit a ceiling. Doesn't want to bring in more whistleblowers, would rather bring in evidence. And I can get on board with that depending on that level of evidence. And it's something I hear a lot of people shouting for as evidence. Again, to mention the interview I've just done today with Becky Ferreira as a sceptic and a science writer who does like the whole notion of aliens and the UFO topic. That's something she's screaming out for and I thought was a really fair point she made that she needs something more in terms of evidence to get on board. Burchett praises Luna and Burleson for their efforts. Speaks highly of Knapp and how long he's watched him. Burchett says testifying is getting diminishing returns. We are just breaking the same ground. Talks about AI causing a lot of issues around what's genuine and what isn't in terms of videos and pictures and whatnot. Knapp asks Burleson about the issues with the Department of War and the CIA obfuscating. Burleson echoes what others have said about needing different or other evidence than we have heard already for a hearing to be worthwhile. He knows there are some folks who they would call but they'll just say they can't speak publicly. Burleson says they've been tipped off to names of certain files that they will be requesting. I wonder if Knapp has helped out with that and Grush as well. Remember Grush is still on Burleson's staff. Knapp turns to Luna and says you need subpoena power for this to work. Says they are getting some forward momentum. Thinks the US people deserve to know the footage that they have seen. Let them decide if it's a drone or a balloon. She says we may try things we haven't tried to do. Burchett mentions Elon Musk's comments about not having seen anything that shows alien. Burchett says departments are so compartmentalised. He said a woman the night before the interview from NASA at the Christmas party at the White House had asked him if he thought UFOs were real. And he says that's the issue. You get folks from an organisation saying one thing other folks saying another all control red tape money and power. Corbell says they have seen better evidence than has been released. Corbell talks about the great piece of footage shown at the hearing. Folks will know I am sceptical of that piece of footage being anomalous I'd love to be proven wrong I have not changed my opinion on that piece of footage whatsoever. Luna at this point has to leave the interview nothing to do with me she just had to go Burleson brings up Lou Elizondo showing the irrigation field photos he says it was good that was debunked and a personal thought of mine though folks is that photo should never have been made it to the point of being shown especially in the way it was it was not presented well surely there's a process or at least some folks that these guys can go to before going public with a video or a photo and ask them to give them some opinion almost a behind the scenes focus group for the love of god that there's enough secret groups online people seem to be a part of but you know they've got people's phone numbers why not share a video or a photo with some trusted friends and ask hey just curious what do you think about this keep it to yourself before we perhaps go public with it and maybe if you get the right folks with their heads screwed on give them a few minutes just to process it and go actually I think it might be this and then don't show it and I can tell you folks that has happened before and stuff has still gone out which is really disappointing really disappointing for me Knapp asks Burleson if he's followed up on the hearings video Burleson says he can't talk about it that's disappointing but again for me folks you can look at it as oh well that means it's anomalous it doesn't it just might mean that someone from the military has confirmed what it actually is and the exact details of what it was and that means he can't talk about it but we don't know Corbell asks Burchett about the sources he has spoken to about the underwater bases I love this chat I love the whole underwater base stuff he says yes he talks about five or six deep water areas says these events and objects are being seen over deep water areas talks about objects the size of football fields travelling over 2,000 mils an hour underwater he does not know the reason that it's not been put out to the public he says this cannot be ours Burchett says no one asked about the serious political stuff at that Christmas party all the chat for him was about UFOs always good to hear Knapp asks about Burchett saying he knows where the five bases are and why he says he knows some folks know about it he believes the bases exist Burchett as a Christian doesn't believe the whole demonic angle will play out the way people think and upset the apple cart Burleson references a disgusting reporter on social media who has tried to recruit opponents of his over this topic we can all guess who that reporter may be I'm sure Burchett then says he had someone close to him in DC approach him and try to ward him off of touching this topic at all that he was asked did he really want to do this you know one of those walking in the corridor type situations did he really want to poke this bear and fair play to Burleson he's done it Knapp asks if they tried to speak to Trump about this Burchett said he would love 15 minutes with Trump to speak to him Burleson says it could be a presidential route that sees progress or it could be a private individual or another country because it is too much pushback from the military industrial complex and he thinks it would probably be that latter Knapp asks about the age of disclosure and the comment around James Clapper confirming the US Air Force has a UFO program and that that was the incredible admission to hear that confirmed you know in person in a documentary by someone of Clapper's level and that's something that should be actionable Burchett comes back to say that so often they get them into SCIFs and they get stonewalled Corbell then says that he and Knapp can help with video evidence I really just hope the videos that they may have that aren't released are vetted incredibly well and that's and this isn't at Corbell and Knapp in general though folks there's a danger of echo chambers with this stuff and showing it to people that are just going to say oh yeah wow that's incredible that must be aliens show it to someone with a level head show it to people with level heads get different opinions and then make a decision from there at the end of the episode George Knapp says something is coming aimed at congress which is designed to get them to back off but they are ready for it so really interested and intrigued to
