Hi everyone, and welcome back to That UFO Podcast. As always, my name is Andy, and it's another news update for what's turning out to be quite a busy week for UFO news, especially in the political spectrum. Viral comments worldwide from Barack Obama earlier this week. Former U.S. President, of course, Barack Obama. I ended up on the news speaking about those on a couple of different channels. Thank you to everyone for the nice comments about how I pushed back on one of the presenters who gave a little bit of a snarky remark around UFOs and the people involved in these topics. Didn't really expect all the nice comments, but thank you so much. But listen, let's get right into the news, because at the top of the show, I mentioned some of the big headlines I'm going to be discussing. And one of those, which is really only hours old, is that of Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump. He has come out, or she has come out, sorry, on Pod Force 1 today talking about UFOs. This was, of course, after the host, Miranda Devine, asked about President Obama's viral comments, believing aliens are real. Devine wasn't particularly up on Obama and what he said. She said he was asked about UFOs. He was asked about aliens. Maybe I'm nitpicking, but it sounds more likely she's had this stuff prepared for her to ask, so wasn't completely sure on that context. But I suppose for most of the public, UFOs and aliens are interchangeable, aren't they, when you talk about them? So Lara was asked if the current president was going to say anything about UFOs. Lara said she and her husband, Eric, now she's the daughter-in-law of Donald Trump. Eric is Donald Trump's third kid, our third son, and she's married to Eric. That's the relationship there for folks who don't know. She said herself and Eric had asked Trump about what he knows. She said President Trump was coy about it, that he wasn't quite telling them what it was he really knew or thought. But bear in mind a lot of what he may know would be classified, so you would expect that to be the case, which is reassuring. Let me read the exact quote that she does say. And then I have just heard kind of around that. I think he's actually said it. I think my father-in-law's actually said it, that there is some speech that he has that I guess at the right time, and I don't know when the right time is, he's going to break out and talk about. And it has to do with maybe some sort of extraterrestrial life, so to speak. So we can go into the wording around that. It's not free-flowing, but she's being honest and open. It doesn't sound that she's thought about it too much in advance. And I don't know. She then gives the line about statistical probability of life out there being likely, which is completely fair, of course. And that's what Barack Obama done in kind of walking back what he said about aliens being real. So is there anything to this? I think she's giving a little bit of a stock answer. Look, Donald Trump has talked about the UFO subject many times before and much higher profile pieces too. It's tended to lean towards that he doesn't believe much and he said as much or pay much attention to it himself. But he does always usually lean on the fact that pilots and other military folks that he respects think there's something to it. He's been quite non-committal. Now, does that mean things may change or have changed? Of course. I don't even know if Lara Trump has even seen some of the viral rumours and comments about the speech that's going to happen on the 8th of July, where Donald Trump is going to come out and confirm alien life. We're not alone. Announce, you know, inter-agency task force and all that kind of stuff. Those rumours originated here in the UK through a director, through a UK-based director, Mark Christopher Lee, I believe is the name. Apologies when it's three first names like that. He himself said that an anonymous source had told him that this was the case and that someone else in the sphere also knew about this, but they haven't gone public. So right now, I don't know if Lara Trump has just saw some of that stuff online or indeed if she is getting information from the president himself that something might be coming down the pipeline. It's interesting. I will say that much, folks, and that's why I'm talking about it. I am sceptical of that. But this smoke only adds to the potential fire here. And I say potential. Adam Bray said, I love that Miranda keeps following this. Lara is more direct here, so it's a stronger statement. Harder to pull apart. But I'm still not buying that Trump has a speech ready to go. I still think she's basing it off Mark Christopher Lee rather than her father-in-law's statements. Mandalorian 92, who is also a Spurs fan, I believe, folks, for his sins, said, With disclosure confirmed by a president, this can only lead to more heavy questioning and the public interest will rise rapidly. Russia and China will be forced to respond on what they have, even if they don't know it yet. More whistleblowers will also come forward. A few more comments. Dave said, my take on it is that it's a decent chance that it's a real thing. It's going to happen. Obama wanted to be the disclosure president, so he's trying to ruin the situation. I don't know if he's ruining it, Dave. He's made those comments and then walked it back a little bit. Obama's again made similar comments before. I suppose what's interesting to me is that Obama's made comments like this before. Trump has made comments like this before. What is it about this particular instance that it's caught a little bit more fire? This has happened before, but these seem to really have struck a nerve. Maybe it's timing. That can be huge. So who knows? A couple more comments, I suppose. Teko said, as long as the Epstein case stays in the public zeitgeist, we'll hear more about aliens. It should be obvious at this point the UFO topic has been used as a distraction for decades. You know, it's not unfair to say that. A lot of folks are giving comments very similar to that as well. And then there's a real mix of people saying, doubting anything that comes from the Trump camp. Other folks aren't sure. Other folks are thinking that there is something to this, that there is a lot of smoke to the fire. But listen, who knows at this point? Really interesting. Let's move on. Interesting section here from Stephen Greer, Dr. Stephen Greer, to give him his full title, and Congressman Eric Burleson, who both appeared on Newsmax. Now, Newsmax showed the clips of Eric Burleson discussing the object, the massive object allegedly buried in the ground. It's either crashed or been brought down. Ross Coulthart talked about this a couple of years ago, and it's never gone out of the UFO community in the conversation. It is fascinating. It's a real smoking gun. It's a massive what-if. But again, it shows you this claim, like before, has been out there for a while, but it's getting more attention again in the media. So maybe a little bit of a snowball effect. Has Age of Disclosure helped with this kind of stuff? Who knows at this point? But interesting to see Stephen Greer alongside Eric Burleson. Burleson, in talking about the object, says he has no hard evidence of what it really is. He said the object exists in another country. Burleson says he won't mention the country, as he heard this inside a classified setting, and it has been reported to him from inside and outside of the federal government. Stephen Greer, of course, not hearing this stuff inside of a classified setting, confirmed that one of these locations is outside of Seoul, South Korea. In the mountains, he mentions that over 800 whistleblowers have spoken to him. He says he knows of others that have been brought down bigger than a football field, hundreds to thousands of feet in size. He mentioned Oklahoma, and the US has a smaller one there too. Burleson is asked if it's in South Korea, but of course he can't clarify because of how he heard this information. The presenter asks him to clear up why he can't say where it is. Burleson says, again, it's because of how he was told the information inside a classified setting. He even says that getting into facilities in Washington, D.C. alone can be difficult, never mind having to travel to other countries to try and get into classified facilities housing potentially downed UFOs. And that's what we're talking about here, folks. If you're newer to the topic, I've mentioned this now many, many times. The idea that a huge UFO has been built over with a facility that is used on a daily basis, probably some kind of military facility, administrative, maybe something like that. But underneath it is a huge UFO. I don't think Stephen Greer is particularly good for these short, snappy, couple of minute long news segments. He gets asked why we can't move it. He says the size. He says it's definitely a spaceship. They can't be chopped up. Our tools don't cut through the material. But he takes too long and keeps talking over the host. I think Burleson does well in these things. He's media trained. Greer has done millions of these things. I exaggerate. But he just wants to say so much so quickly. And it's not the point of the segment. And that can be a little bit jarring, I think, for a public trying to watch this, where it can almost be a little bit self-promotional. Burleson says, if he is able to visit the location and see the craft, then that's whether in person or via photo or video. He will protect national security, but he will tell the American people they are not alone in this universe. They then showed the Obama clip from the Brian Tyler Cohen podcast that I talked about the other day. Greer shows the briefing document that was given to John Podesta, who was Obama's campaign manager at the time. John Podesta was also linked to the Hillary Clinton failed campaign for presidency. A lot of talk around Podesta being in the know with this topic and keen for Clinton at the time to be that disclosure president. This is also where folks get frustrated with Greer and some of the more grandiose claims. And I know there's going to be some folks listening to this who are big fans of Stephen Greer. And he's done a lot of great work in the past. But to show the briefing document online and say he's passed this on to Obama's people. Yeah, but those could be staffers just walking by in the street. He could be dropping them off in offices. You know, he does have to say that he doesn't know if Obama's had the document. But this is where Stephen Greer will claim in multiple interviews that he has briefed presidents and higher ups. I think that's like me writing a briefing document on what I think about the topic and passing it off as having briefed high level people. It doesn't come across well. Just for me, folks, I think it can be a little bit off putting. He does bring up the criminal elements of the sequence as well. The host says he does appreciate the fact that Eric Burleson is trying to do this. Personally, I think the congressman speaking on his own on this holds a weight to your average person. What do you think? On one side, you've got Burleson having David Grush in his ear. And the other, you've got him with Dr. Stephen Greer. You also have your Danny Sheehan's of the world and many others speaking to Eric Burleson. I'd love to know your thoughts. For me, the bigger story here is still the craft so big that it has a facility built around it. There isn't much in modern day that I think I would consider smoking gun evidence or whatever that might be or will look like. Even some really cool tech that could be displayed or you could get on 4K camera might not be considered smoking gun and be easily explained away. However, if anyone can show a UFO hundreds of feet in size, a thousand feet in size, the size of a football field, US or UK otherwise, buried, then there's no walking that back. That's not tech that the human species has in its arsenal, surely. So, yeah, and a couple of bits to finish up on. I'm going to play you a clip here from January 24th, 2025. This is from Ross Coulter's huge interview with Jake Barber back then, the near full three-hour release. And I was re-watching it to grab the comments because a lot of folks still ask around Skywatcher's commentary about what they would do within 12 months. And here's what Jake said at that time. So let me play the clip for you. I believe the United States government in the next 12 months is going to use me and my team as a peaceful, nonjudgmental path forward to disclosure. They're going to help us conduct our operations and gather evidence in order to present this subject matter to the public so that these questions can be answered once and for all. And all the questions. I'm talking about what do the craft look like? How do they operate? Who is operating them? How are they being operated? And where are they coming from? We should be able to answer those questions probably entirely in the next 12 months. Running a business is hard enough. So, the clip goes away. There you go. I don't want to be pedantic. And I've said before, I spoke to Jake Barber at Sol back in Milan in October. Seems a lifetime ago. In front of an audience about that 12-month claim. And he said then that maybe it was more of a 12-month period rather than by the end of 2025. And that's completely fair. But we're now over that year. We're getting into 13 months on from Skywatcher's claims at this point. And I think it would really help themselves in the medium, the short-term, the long-term to give the public some kind of update. As much as it's not publicly funded, and it is privately funded as an operation, they were releasing a lot of content for the public, high production value stuff. And it just stopped around about April, May, June, into August. They were more active. That four-month window. And since then, they've had those updates back at Christmas to say, you know, stuff was coming and they're looking through the data. I don't have an issue with Jake Barber having made some big claims. And if he has to walk some of those back at the moment. But it seems at this point, he has overpromised. And the organisation at this minute in time has under-delivered, at least publicly. Is it the government cooperation he mentions that caused a lot of the change? I wouldn't imagine any government or military branch would want to get too involved in divulging too much to the public. It's frustrating. It seemed so promising, folks, when we sat here over a year ago talking about Skywatcher and what it could do. There's still time for that Skywatcher redemption arc, isn't there? Maybe this is the calm before the storm, the Skywatcher storm. Maybe it's still in the data analysis phase. But each day that passes, the radio silence isn't great for what they were doing. But whatever those reasons are, I would love to know. And I'm sure you would too. Hope you've enjoyed this quick update, folks.
